Arsenal receive further good news ahead of their match against Leicester City
Arsenal will this weekend face Leicester City at the Kong Power Stadium and the gunners have received good news ahead of this important game.
Arsenal have received a boost ahead of their Saturday match against Leicester City, as the Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that their star player James Maddison is a doubt for the game as per Daily Mail.
Maddison has been struggling with a persistent knee injury which flared up in the Manchester United defeat. Rodgers is now trying to ensure Leicester’s star man is fit for Saturday’s clash with league leaders Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s side are now two points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League, plus a game in hand. The Gunners will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the table by beating Leicester City this weekend, as any dropped points could see Manchester City overtake them and go top of the Premier League table.
The news that Maddison is a doubt for Saturday’s match will come as a welcome relief to Arsenal fans, who will be hoping that his absence could give them an edge over Leicester City. Maddison has been in fine form this season, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in 17 appearances for Leicester so far this season.
Arsenal will be looking to make it two wins on the bounce when they face off against Leicester City on Saturday, but they must not underestimate their opponents despite Maddison’s absence. If they can get all three points then they will remain firmly at the top of the Premier League table and take another step closer to winning the league title.
