Predicted Arsenal lineup to face Leicester City with all eyes on Jorginho
The Premier League has returned this weekend and Arsenal will face Leicester City so here’s their predicted lineup to play in this game.
Arsenal are in a great position to go stay top of the Premier League table this weekend as they face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. Manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping his team can take all three points and extend their lead over Manchester City, who are currently two points behind them.
PREDICTED ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE LEICESTER CITY
Ramsdale; Zinchenko, Saliba, Gabriel, White; Xhaka, Jorginho, Odegaard; Martinelli, Nketiah, Saka
Arteta is likely to continue using the 4-3-3 formation that he has been using for most of the season. In goal, Aaron Ramsdale will start with Oleksandr Zinchenko, William Saliba, Gabriel and Ben White making up the back four.
In midfield, Jorginho will be the anchor man with Xhaka and Martin Odegaard playing in front of him. Thomas Partey has missed Arsenal’s last two matches due to a muscular injury he sustained in training ahead of their game against Manchester City but he will likely not start despite being in the squad hence Jorginho starting in his place.
Up front, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka will provide support for Eddie Nketiah who is expected to lead the line for Arsenal. The trio have been impressive this season and have been instrumental in Arsenal’s run of form which has seen them go top of the Premier League table.
This is an important game for Arsenal as any dropped points could see Manchester City overtake them at the top of the table. With that being said, Mikel Arteta will be hoping his team can put on a good performance and come away with all three points against Leicester City on Saturday.
