Arsenal are close to agreeing a new long-term contract with Bukayo Saka that would see the 21 year old stay at the Emirates Stadium for a long time. It is believed that the new deal will be worth £200,000-a-week, which would make him the North Londoner’s best paid player as per Daily Mail.

The current contract of Bukayo Saka would have seen him leave the gunners on a free in 12 months and so that’s why Arsenal are desperate for him to commit to a new deal. The English winger has been one of Arsenal’s best players in this 2022/23 season as he has scored 9 goals as well as providing 8 assists which has helped them be first on the Premier League table as they search for their first league title since 2004.

Saka has been an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s team since he took over in December 2019 and his performances have earned him admirers from all around Europe. He was also named Arsenal’s Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season for 2020/21.

The club are keen to tie down their young star and reward him for his impressive performances with a lucrative new deal. It is believed that Saka is open to staying at Arsenal and is keen to sign a new long-term contract with them. Talks between both parties are ongoing and it is expected that an agreement will be reached soon.

If Saka does sign a new deal, it will be seen as a major boost for Arsenal who are looking to build on their impressive form this season and challenge for major honours this season. It will also show other players that they can achieve success at the club if they commit their future to them.

Overall, it looks like Bukayo Saka is close to agreeing a new long-term contract with Arsenal which would see him stay at the Emirates Stadium for many years to come. This would be great news for both parties involved and could help propel Arsenal towards success in the near future.
