Arsenal continued their impressive form in the Premier League with a 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. The Gunners are currently leading the title race and they showed why with a dominant performance against their London rivals.

The first half saw Arsenal take control of the game with goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. Martinelli opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a brilliant strike after being set up by Saka. The young winger then doubled Arsenal’s lead just before half-time with a neat finish.

The second half saw Arsenal continue to dominate and they added a third goal in the 55th minute through Granit Xhaka. The Swiss midfielder scored with a powerful shot from outside the box that left Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita with no chance.

Palace did manage to get one back in the 63rd minute through Jeffrey Schlupp, but any hopes of a comeback were quickly extinguished when Saka scored his second goal of the game in the 74th minute. The teenager showed great composure to score with a first-time strike after being set up by Kieran Tierney.

The victory sees Arsenal maintain their position at the top of the table, but they will be aware that Manchester City are still within striking distance. City have played one game less than Arsenal and are currently eight points behind them.

Arsenal will be hoping to continue their winning run when the club football returns from international football that will begin after this weekend.

Overall, it was another impressive performance from Mikel Arteta’s side as they continue to show why they are genuine title contenders this season. With players like Martinelli and Saka continuing to impress, Arsenal fans can be optimistic about what lies ahead for their team.
