Arsenal legend reveals the remaining Xhaka problem despite his impressive season
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has been impressive this season and gunners legend has revealed the only problem that the Swiss international still has.
Arsenal legend Robert Pires has praised the development of midfielder Granit Xhaka this season, but has also highlighted one area where the Swiss international still needs to improve.
Xhaka has been a key player for Arsenal in their Premier League title challenge this season, scoring five goals and providing five assists in 31 appearances. The Gunners are currently top of the table with 74 points, but face stiff competition from Manchester City who are just four points behind with a game in hand.
Speaking to Apostagolos, Pires said: “I value Granit’s high game intelligence. The way he moves between the lines, the way he breaks free from his direct opponents. Also, he’s matured & gets fewer warnings, although he’s still hot blooded!”
Xhaka’s leadership qualities have been particularly important for Arsenal this season as they look to win their first Premier League title since 2004. His ability to read the game and break up opposition attacks has also been crucial for Arsenal’s success this season. Xhaka’s passing range and vision have allowed him to create chances for his teammates while also controlling the tempo of games.
As Arsenal enter the final stretch of the Premier League season, Xhaka will be hoping to continue his impressive form and help his team secure the title. With Pires’ endorsement, it seems that the Swiss international is well on his way to becoming a true Arsenal legend in his own right.
