Early expected Arsenal lineup to face Southampton on Friday revealed
Arsenal will on Friday face Southampton at the Emirates Stadium and so here is the expected lineup of the gunners to play in this game.
Arsenal is set to face Southampton on Friday night in a crucial Premier League match. The Gunners are currently sitting at the top of the table with 74 points after 31 games, but they are closely followed by second-placed Manchester City, who have 70 points and a game in hand. With only seven games left to play, every point counts for Arsenal as they look to secure their first Premier League title since 2004.
PREDICTED ARSENAL LINEUP TO FACE SOUTHAMPTON
Aaron Ramsdale; Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Magalhaes, Rob Holding, Ben White; Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, Odegaard; Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka
Manager Mikel Arteta is expected to stick with his preferred 4-3-3 formation for this match. In goal, Aaron Ramsdale is likely to start. The back four is expected to consist of Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Magalhaes, Rob Holding, and Ben White. This defensive line has been solid for Arsenal this season and will be crucial in keeping Southampton’s attack at bay.
In midfield, Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are expected to start alongside Martin Odegaard. Xhaka has been a key player for Arsenal this season with his ability to control the midfield and distribute the ball effectively. Partey has also been impressive this season. Odegaard has been a revelation this season and will be tasked with creating chances for Arsenal’s front three.
Up front, Gabriel Martinelli is expected to start on the left-wing with Gabriel Jesus through the middle and Bukayo Saka on the right-wing. Martinelli has been in good form recently and will be looking to add to his tally of goals this season. Jesus has been good since joining from Manchester City last summer. Saka has been one of Arsenal’s standout players this season with his pace and trickery causing problems for opposition defences.
Overall, this is a strong lineup for Arsenal and one that should be able to secure all three points against Southampton. With Manchester City breathing down their necks, every game is crucial for Arsenal as they look to end their long wait for a Premier League title.
