Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has opened up on why the team might be experiencing a poor run of form in the current title race. The Gunners drew 3-3 against Southampton on Friday, marking their third consecutive draw in the league.

Jesus acknowledged that Arsenal is the youngest team in the league and has no experience as champions. He stated that while this is not an excuse, it is a big factor in their current performance. He emphasized the importance of sticking together as a team during these challenging times.

“Obviously we are the youngest team in the league. Not making excuses but that is a big thing.” Jesus told reporters.

“We have no experience as champions… sometimes we can do right, sometimes we can do wrong. That’s why it’s important to stick together.”

The match against Southampton was an enthralling one, with both teams putting up a good fight. Arsenal started off on the wrong foot, conceding a goal just one minute into the game due to a misplaced pass from Aaron Ramsdale. The Saints doubled their lead in the 14th minute through former Gunner Theo Walcott.

Arsenal managed to pull one back in the 20th minute through Gabriel Martinelli, but Southampton restored their two-goal advantage in the 67th minute with Duje Caleta-Car’s header at the back post. However, Arsenal fought back and managed to equalize with goals from Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka in the 88th and 90th minutes respectively.

Despite this thrilling comeback, Arsenal’s recent run of draws has put them under pressure in the title race. They are currently first on the Premier League table with 75 points after 32 games but are closely followed by second-placed Manchester City, who have 70 points plus two games in hand.

Arsenal will need to regroup quickly if they want to maintain their position at the top of the table. With just six games left to play, every point counts. The team will need to work together and learn from their mistakes if they want to lift the trophy at the end of this season.

In conclusion, Gabriel Jesus’ comments highlight that experience plays a crucial role in football. While Arsenal’s young team has shown great potential, they will need to gain more experience if they want to compete at the highest level. However, with the right mindset and determination, anything is possible in football.

I just love writing and football so much ever since the 2000's when football got popular in our country. I am a self esteemed person who believes is am always right.
