Former Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has opened up about his former team’s success this season, stating that he is not surprised by their current position at the top of the Premier League table. Lacazette left Arsenal on a free transfer last summer and returned to Lyon, where he has been successful.

Arsenal are currently in a title race, sitting at the top of the Premier League table with 72 points after 29 games. However, they are closely followed by second-placed Manchester City, who have 64 points and a game in hand.

Lacazette’s comments come as no surprise given his experience working with Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta. The Frenchman played under Arteta during his time at Arsenal and knows first-hand how well he works.

“I’m not surprised by the club’s success, and I’m happy for my former teammates there,” Lacazette said in an interview with The Metro UK.

Arsenal have been impressive this season under Arteta’s leadership. They have shown great resilience and determination in their performances, which has helped them secure crucial wins against tough opponents.

Lacazette’s departure from Arsenal last summer was seen as a blow to the club’s attacking options. However, Arteta has managed to get the best out of his current crop of attackers.

Overall, Arsenal fans will be pleased to hear that their former striker is happy for them and believes that they can go on to win the Premier League title this season. With just nine games left to play, the Gunners will need to maintain their form and focus if they are to lift the trophy come May.
