REVEALED: Two Arsenal players that will miss Arsenal’s match against Southampton

Arsenal will on Friday face Southampton at the Emirates Stadium and its now been confirmed the two players that will not take part in this game.

Arsenal will be missing two key players in their upcoming match against Southampton at the Emirates Stadium. Takehiro Tomiyasu and Mohamed Elneny will both be unavailable for selection due to injuries.

Tomiyasu has been ruled out for the rest of the season after injuring his knee in the Europa League tie with Sporting Lisbon a few weeks back. The Japan international underwent an operation last month, which confirmed his absence from the team for months.

Arsenal is closely followed by second-placed Manchester City, who have 70 points plus a game in hand. With only seven games left to play, every point is crucial for Arsenal if they want to win their first Premier League title since 2004.

Elneny, on the other hand, has been out of action since January after undergoing knee surgery. The Egyptian midfielder has made a few appearances this season and was not expected to feature heavily in Arsenal’s title run-in.

However, his absence further depletes Arsenal’s midfield options as they prepare to face Southampton on Friday night. Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka are likely to start in midfield, with Martin Odegaard playing in an advanced role behind the strikers.

Despite missing two key players, Arsenal will still be favorites to win against Southampton at home. The Gunners have been outstanding in the last 10 Premier League games.

However, they cannot afford any slip-ups as Manchester City is breathing down their necks. Every game is now a must-win for Arsenal if they want to end their long wait for a Premier League title.

In conclusion, the absence of Tomiyasu and Elneny will be a blow to Arsenal’s title aspirations. However, they have enough quality in their squad to overcome Southampton and continue their push for the Premier League crown.
