Arsenal receive bad news ahead of their match against Newcastle United on Sunday

Arsenal will on Wednesday face Newcastle United away from home on Sunday this week and the gunners have received bad news ahead of that game.

Arsenal have received some bad news ahead of their Sunday match against Newcastle United. Manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Gabriel Magalhaes, who was subbed off in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Chelsea on Tuesday before the end of the game, will be a doubt for Sunday’s match.

This is a massive blow for Arsenal, who have found some stability at the back in recent weeks. Journalist Carrie Brown has noted that Gabriel’s absence could be a significant setback for the team.

Arsenal’s win over Chelsea on Tuesday was a dominant performance from start to finish. Two goals from Martin Odegaard and one from Gabriel Jesus gave Arsenal a comfortable lead at half-time. Noni Madueke scored a consolation goal for Chelsea in the second half, but it was too little too late.

The win puts Arsenal in a strong position in the title race. They are currently first on the Premier League table with 78 points after 34 games. However, they are closely followed by second-placed Manchester City, who have 76 points and two games in hand.

Despite their strong position, Arsenal cannot afford to drop points against Newcastle United on Sunday. The absence of Gabriel will be felt keenly by the team, but they will need to find a way to cope without him.

Arsenal have been in excellent form in recent weeks, winning their last five Premier League matches. They will be hoping to continue this run of form against Newcastle United and maintain their position at the top of the table.

However, Newcastle United will not make it easy for them. The Magpies are fighting for survival and will be desperate for points as they look to avoid relegation.

Arsenal will need to be at their best if they want to come away with all three points on Sunday. They have shown that they are capable of winning without key players this season, but they cannot afford any slip-ups at this stage of the season.

The absence of Gabriel is a setback, but Arsenal have the quality and depth in their squad to cope with his absence. It will be a tough test for them, but they will be confident of getting the job done and maintaining their position at the top of the table.
