Arsenal fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the head of medical at the club, Gary O’Driscoll, has confirmed that Gabriel Martinelli’s injury sustained in Arsenal’s defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion is not season-ending. The Brazilian forward was subbed off in the game after a terrible foul from Brighton’s Caicedo left him in discomfort.

Martinelli has been a key player for Arsenal this season, scoring 15 goals and providing 5 assists in the Premier League alone. His impressive performances have helped the Gunners to be in contention for the title this season, currently sitting in second place with 81 points after 36 games, closely following Manchester City who have 85 points and a game in hand.

The news of Martinelli’s injury will come as a relief to Arsenal fans who feared that they may have lost their star player for the remainder of the season. However, O’Driscoll’s statement suggests that Martinelli should be able to return to action before the end of the season.

Arsenal have two games remaining this season, with fixtures against Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton. Martinelli’s return would be a huge boost for the Gunners as they look to finish the season strongly and potentially win their first Premier League title since 2004.

The 21-year-old has been a revelation since joining Arsenal from Ituano in 2019 and has quickly become a fan favorite at the Emirates Stadium. His pace, energy, and eye for goal make him a constant threat to opposition defenses, and his absence would have been a big blow to Arsenal’s title aspirations.

With Martinelli expected to return soon, Arsenal will be hoping to finish the season on a high and potentially lift the Premier League trophy. They face tough competition from Manchester City, but with the Brazilian forward back in action, anything is possible.

In conclusion, Arsenal fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Gabriel Martinelli’s injury is not season-ending. The Brazilian forward has been a key player for the Gunners this season, and his return will be a huge boost for their title aspirations. With three games remaining, Arsenal will be hoping to finish the season strongly and potentially win their first Premier League title in 17 years.
