Arteta sends a defiant message to everyone that says Arsenal bottled the Premier League title
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has sent a defiant message to everyone that says Arsenal have bottled the Premier League title this season as we reach near to the end of the season.
Despite Manchester City currently having the advantage in the Premier League title race, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has sent a defiant message to the fans and everyone on their chances of winning the title this season. The Gunners are currently second on the table with 81 points after 36 games, closely following first-placed Manchester City, which has 85 points plus one game in hand.
“Two games to go and we can still be champions against probably the best team in the history of the Premier League, for 10 months and we are still there and we’re not going to bottle that. That’s for sure,” Arteta told Football Daily.
Despite losing key players Gabriel Martinelli and Oleksandr Zinchenko to injuries for the rest of the season, Arteta believes that his team has what it takes to win the title. Martinelli has been outstanding for Arsenal this season, scoring 15 goals and making five assists in the Premier League. Zinchenko, on the other hand, has been Arsenal’s main left back this season, scoring once and providing two assists in the league.
Arteta expressed his disappointment at the news, but he remains confident that his squad has enough depth to cover for their absence.
Arsenal’s final two Premier League games are against Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton, and they will need to win both games and hope that Manchester City slip up in their remaining fixtures. It will be a tough ask for the Gunners, but they will be determined to give it their all and finish the season on a high note.
Arteta’s message to the fans and everyone is clear – Arsenal is still in the race for the Premier League title, and they are not going to give up without a fight. The Gunners have shown that they have what it takes to compete with the best teams in the league, and they will be hoping to prove that in their final two games of the season.
