BREAKING: Arsenal ready to break own transfer record in purchase of Declan Rice
Arsenal are obviously interested in signing West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice in the summer transfer window and a report has now revealed that the gunners could even break their own transfer record to bring him.

Arsenal are reportedly set to begin talks with West Ham United for the transfer of Declan Rice. The Gunners are ready to submit a whopping £90million offer and give Rice a £300k-a-week contract, according to a report from The Daily Mail.
Rice has been in fine form this season, making 35 league appearances and scoring three goals while providing two assists. The 24-year-old midfielder has been a key player for West Ham, helping them to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Arsenal, on the other hand, are in a title race as they currently sit second on the 2022/23 Premier League table with 81 points after 36 games. However, they are closely following first-placed Manchester City who have 85 points plus one game in hand. With the season still ongoing, Arsenal fans will be happy to know that their club has started preparing for the summer transfer window.
The addition of Rice would be a major boost for Arsenal’s midfield. He is known for his defensive abilities and his ability to break up play. He is also comfortable on the ball and can contribute to attacking play as well.

Rice’s versatility is another factor that makes him an attractive target for Arsenal. He can play as a holding midfielder or as a centre-back if needed. This would give manager Mikel Arteta more options when it comes to team selection and tactics.
However, signing Rice will not come cheap for Arsenal. The reported £90million transfer fee would make him one of the most expensive players in Premier League history. But with Arsenal’s financial backing thanks to qualifying for the Champions League and their desire to challenge for titles again, they may be willing to pay such a fee.
Overall, it looks like an exciting summer ahead for Arsenal fans as their club looks to strengthen their squad and challenge for titles once again. The addition of Declan Rice would be a major step in the right direction.
