Arsenal begin move for £40million star despite having already signed three players

Arsenal have so far signed three players in this summer transfer window and the gunners have begun move for a £40million star.

Arsenal are reportedly setting their sights on Ajax star Mohammed Kudus who could cost £40million as they continue to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. However, in order to make this move happen, the Gunners will need to offload some players first, according to a report by The Daily Mail.

Kudus, a 22-year-old Ghanaian international, has been making waves at Ajax since joining the club in 2020. In his time with the Dutch giants, he has managed to score an impressive 23 goals and provide 11 assists in 84 games. His versatility is particularly attractive to Arsenal’s recruitment staff as he can play in a conventional central midfield role, in a more advanced position, or even on the right wing.

The Gunners have already been active in the transfer market this summer, securing the signings of Kai Havertz from Chelsea for £65 million and Jurrien Timber from Ajax for a deal worth €40 million plus €5 million add-ons. These acquisitions have bolstered Arsenal’s midfield and defensive options.

In addition to these signings, Arsenal made headlines with their record-breaking transfer of Declan Rice from West Ham for a staggering £105 million. This move marked the highest-ever transfer fee paid between two British clubs. With these three signings already completed, it is clear that Arsenal are determined to strengthen their squad significantly ahead of the new season.

However, with Kudus now on their radar, Arsenal will need to sell players before they can make any further moves in the transfer market. The Gunners have been linked with potential departures such as Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney, who could generate funds for future signings.

The pursuit of Kudus highlights Arsenal’s ambition to compete at the highest level and return to their former glory. The Ghanaian midfielder’s skill set and versatility would undoubtedly add depth and quality to Mikel Arteta’s squad.

As negotiations continue behind closed doors, Arsenal fans will be eagerly awaiting updates on the potential signing of Kudus. The Gunners’ recruitment staff will be working tirelessly to secure the necessary funds through player sales, allowing them to make a move for the Ajax star.

With the new season fast approaching, Arsenal are leaving no stone unturned in their quest for success. The addition of Kudus would further strengthen their squad and provide Arteta with more options and flexibility in his tactical approach. As the transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal can successfully complete this deal and continue their summer spending spree.
