Arsenal complete the signing of Declan Rice as Gunners continue revamp of squad

Arsenal after chasing Declan Rice for weeks now have completed the signing of Declan Rice from West Ham United and he will be their second summer signing.

In what can only be described as a major coup for Arsenal, the Gunners have reportedly reached a total agreement with West Ham United to sign highly-rated midfielder Declan Rice. According to The Athletic, West Ham has accepted Arsenal’s payment structure, which includes a record-breaking £100 million fee plus an additional £5 million.

Rice, who is just 24 years old, had an outstanding season for West Ham, scoring four goals and providing two assists. His contributions were instrumental in helping the club escape relegation and secure an impressive victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League. It comes as no surprise that his performances caught the attention of top clubs across Europe.

This potential move to Arsenal would mark Rice’s second transfer this summer, following his teammate Kai Havertz’s switch from Chelsea for £65 million. The Gunners seem determined to strengthen their squad significantly ahead of the upcoming season.

The reported payment structure agreed upon by both clubs is quite interesting. West Ham will receive a fixed fee of £100 million, which will be paid in three instalments over a period of 24 months. This arrangement allows Arsenal to manage their finances effectively while still securing the services of one of England’s brightest midfield talents.

The negotiations between the two clubs were said to have been intense but ultimately fruitful. A compromise was reached last night that would allow Rice to join Arsenal pending a successful medical examination and finalization of personal terms. It appears that all parties involved are eager to see this deal come to fruition.

For Arsenal fans, this potential signing represents a significant boost to their midfield options. Declan Rice possesses exceptional defensive qualities combined with excellent passing ability and vision. His versatility also allows him to slot into various positions across the midfield, making him an invaluable asset for any team.

If this deal goes through as expected, Rice will join an already talented Arsenal squad under the guidance of manager Mikel Arteta. The Gunners have been working tirelessly to rebuild their team and challenge for major honors once again. The addition of Rice would undoubtedly strengthen their chances of achieving those goals.

As the medical examination and finalization of personal terms are yet to be completed, Arsenal fans will have to wait a little longer before celebrating the arrival of Declan Rice. However, if all goes according to plan, the Gunners will have secured one of the most promising midfielders in English football and taken another step towards reclaiming their former glory.
