Arteta reveals why game against Everton will be tough for Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has spoken out about their upcoming match against Everton, acknowledging the challenge they face at Goodison Park. The Gunners have struggled to secure a victory at Everton’s home ground in recent years, and Arteta emphasized the need for his team to be at their best in order to come away with a win.

“I’m really excited about it obviously,” Mikel Arteta said in his pre-match press conference telling Arsenal’s official website.

“Obviously our record speaks for itself. In the last six years we haven’t won there, so we’re going to have to earn it and we know that we’re going to have to be at our best to beat them there and it’s something that we haven’t managed to do, so that’s where we’re going to start.”

Arteta stressed that earning a win at Everton will require a top-level performance from his players. He emphasized the importance of being at their best and acknowledged that it is something they have not been able to achieve in previous encounters with Everton at their home ground.

Despite the challenge, Arsenal will be buoyed by their positive start to the season. Currently sitting in fifth place with 10 points from four league games, the Gunners will be looking to maintain their momentum and continue their pursuit of challenging for the Premier League title.

The availability of key players like Bukayo Saka will be crucial for Arsenal in their quest for success. Saka has been in excellent form this season, already contributing two goals and one assist for the team.
