Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has revealed the advice that manager Mikel Arteta has given the team following their impressive six-nil victory over Lens in the UEFA Champions League. Saka shared that Arteta told them to enjoy the moment but also to quickly shift their focus to their upcoming Premier League match against Wolverhampton.
Saka expressed his happiness and pride in the team’s performance, stating, “Everyone is really happy. It’s our first time back in the Champions League for a while and we’ve qualified with a game to go. When we first looked at our group we wanted to finish top. We’ve done that so can be proud.”
The young winger also mentioned that Arteta is already reminding them to enjoy their success but to then turn their attention to the important league match against Wolves on Saturday.
Arsenal currently sits in 1st position on the Premier League table with 30 points after 13 league games in the 2023/24 campaign. Their next challenge will be facing Wolverhampton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023.
The advice from Arteta reflects his focus on maintaining a strong mentality and not becoming complacent, despite their recent success. Saka’s comments highlight the team’s determination to continue performing at a high level and striving for further achievements in both domestic and European competitions.
