Former Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas has heaped praise on Mikel Arteta, expressing his admiration for the manager’s impressive work in revitalizing the Gunners. Now an assistant coach at Serie B side Como, Fabregas understands the complexities of management and recognizes the magnitude of Arteta’s achievements.

“Mikel Arteta has done a transformation at the club,” Fabregas stated. “I look up to him because it’s something I’m trying to do here at Como as well.” He emphasized the challenges involved, noting, “I know how difficult it is and how much time it can take. I know the brutal decisions you must take. But he has done so well.”

Fabregas also highlighted the role of Edu Gaspar, Arsenal’s technical director, in the club’s resurgence. “So has Edu Gaspar. A fantastic guy. They understand each other very well. They are growing. They have set up a real structure and DNA. The culture and the training is fantastic.”

Fabregas’ insights are particularly valuable given his personal experience at Arsenal’s training ground. “I got my coaching A licence there with Jack Wilshere, I could see what was going on. The vibes and the energy was very good. I am very pleased about that.”

Arteta, who secured the FA Cup in his first season, has guided Arsenal to second place in the Premier League with 86 points, narrowly trailing Manchester City. Fabregas’ words underscore the significant progress made under Arteta’s leadership, creating a positive and productive environment that has revitalized the club.
