Arsenal transfer target Bruno Guimares makes statement on his future
Arsenal have been heavily linked a move for Bruno Guimares and he has finally released a statement addressing his future.

Arsenal’s transfer target, Bruno Guimarães, has addressed speculation about his future amid links to several top clubs, including the Gunners. Speaking to TNT Sports, the Newcastle midfielder expressed contentment with his current situation but acknowledged the rumors surrounding his name.
“My future? I’m under contract at Newcastle, I’m very happy,” Guimarães stated. “I don’t know what’s gonna happen with Financial Fair Play, but I can say I’m very happy.”
Guimarães’ comments come after a standout season in which he scored seven goals and provided eight assists, playing a crucial role in Newcastle’s impressive campaign. His performances have naturally attracted interest from big clubs, including Arsenal, who are looking to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
“It’s nice to see my name linked with big clubs, it means I’m doing my job well… but I’m not worried — I’m happy at Newcastle. We’ll see what happens,” he added, indicating a willingness to stay put but also leaving the door open for potential future developments.
As the 2023/24 season concluded, Arsenal finished in second place with 89 points, just behind Manchester City, who secured the title with 91 points. The Gunners are actively seeking to bolster their midfield options to push for the Premier League title next season. Guimarães, with his dynamic playing style and ability to contribute both defensively and offensively, fits the profile of the player Arsenal is targeting.
However, Guimarães’ commitment to Newcastle, as expressed in his recent statements, suggests that any potential move would require significant negotiations. Arsenal’s pursuit of the Brazilian midfielder will likely depend on both Newcastle’s stance and Guimarães’ final decision regarding his future.
As the transfer window approaches, Arsenal fans will be watching closely to see how the club’s interest in Guimarães develops and whether they can secure the talents of a player who has proven his worth in the Premier League.
