Arsenal centre back Gabriel Magalhaes has humorously revealed his affection for Brazilian club Corinthians and expressed his dream of playing for them one day. In a candid interview with the YouTube channel Cartoloucos, the Brazilian defender shared his deep-rooted passion for the club and his desire to experience playing for them in the future.

“Corinthians has been there since I was born,” Gabriel stated. “And today I don’t think it has to be any different. I keep going to the Corinthians game by train.”

The 26-year-old defender did not hide his enthusiasm for the club he grew up supporting. “It’s my dream, I want to play for Corinthians, I want to feel that energy,” Gabriel said. His comments reflect the strong connection he feels with Corinthians, a club known for its passionate fan base and rich history in Brazilian football.

Gabriel’s journey to professional football saw him leave Brazil for Europe, where he has established himself as a key player for Arsenal. Since joining the Gunners in 2020, he has been a crucial part of their defensive lineup. However, his remarks indicate that a return to his roots is something he often contemplates.

“It’s something to think about. Sometimes, I stop and think. ‘Do you dream of playing for Corinthians?'” Gabriel pondered. “For me, tomorrow I’d be at Corinthians. I want, as soon as possible, to feel the energy of that crowd, which is incredible.”

While Arsenal fans will hope Gabriel remains committed to their cause for the foreseeable future, his light-hearted comments about Corinthians provide a glimpse into the personal dreams and aspirations that drive him. As one of Arsenal’s standout performers, his commitment to the club is evident, but the allure of playing for his boyhood club in Brazil remains a dream he cherishes deeply.

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
