Arsenal fan favourite star set for £34million departure as medical is set

Emile Smith Rowe is on the verge of a move to Fulham, with the Arsenal midfielder set to undergo a medical with the Cottagers in the next 24 hours. The transfer, valued at £34 million, represents a significant investment for Fulham as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign as per The Standard.

Following the completion of his medical, Smith Rowe is expected to be flown to Portugal to join Fulham’s pre-season training camp. He could even make his debut for his new club as early as Friday, showcasing his talents in a competitive environment ahead of the season’s start.

This move marks a new chapter for Smith Rowe, who struggled for consistent playing time at Arsenal in recent seasons. Despite his undeniable talent and potential, the 23-year-old found himself behind other midfielders in the pecking order, leading to limited opportunities.

A change of scenery may be just what Smith Rowe needs to reignite his career. Fulham, under the management of Marco Silva, have established themselves as a competitive and exciting force in the Premier League. The club’s ambitious plans and the opportunity for regular first-team football could be a perfect environment for the England international to flourish.

Smith Rowe’s arrival would add further quality to Fulham’s midfield, bolstering their attacking options. His creativity, technical ability, and eye for goal could prove to be valuable assets for the Cottagers as they aim to build on their impressive recent performances.

The move is a significant one for both clubs, with Arsenal recouping a substantial fee for a player who has struggled to find his feet in recent seasons. For Fulham, the signing of Smith Rowe represents a statement of intent, demonstrating their ambition to compete at the top end of the Premier League.
