Fulham are on the verge of signing Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe, with both clubs reportedly close to reaching an agreement for a transfer worth up to £35 million. The Athletic has reported that talks between the two sides have progressed significantly, and a deal could be struck imminently.

Should the transfer be finalized, the 23-year-old Smith Rowe is expected to undergo a medical and finalize terms with the west London club.

Smith Rowe endured a frustrating 2023-24 season at Arsenal, making just 19 appearances across all competitions due to a recurring groin injury. Despite his injury struggles, the English attacking midfielder remains a highly-rated talent, and Fulham believe he can be a key player for them in the upcoming campaign.

The Cottagers are seeking to strengthen their attacking options following a successful return to the Premier League last season. Smith Rowe’s arrival would provide Marco Silva with an additional creative force and goal threat, adding depth to a squad that is looking to establish itself as a consistent Premier League force.

The transfer fee, potentially reaching £35 million, represents a significant investment by Fulham. However, the club is confident that Smith Rowe’s quality and potential will justify the expenditure.

The move would offer Smith Rowe a fresh start after a difficult period at Arsenal. He will be hoping to rediscover his best form and showcase his ability on a regular basis at Craven Cottage. Fulham fans will be excited to see him join their ranks and contribute to their ambitions for the season ahead.
