Declan Rice reveals what the important thing they need to do differently this season

Declan Rice, the newly signed Arsenal midfielder, has set the bar high for the upcoming season, declaring that the team needs to “be better than last season” and “push for more and strive for more.”
The 2023/24 season saw Arsenal finish a commendable second, racking up 89 points, but ultimately falling short of Manchester City’s 91-point haul. Despite a strong performance, Rice believes there’s room for improvement.
The midfielder’s declaration echoes the sentiment of the entire Arsenal squad and fanbase. After a near-miss last season, the hunger for a title challenge remains fierce. With the experience gained from last year’s close race, the team is determined to learn from their mistakes and push even further.
“We need to push for more and strive for more,” Rice stated, highlighting the team’s ambitious goals for the season ahead.
The Gunners have already taken a strong step in the right direction, picking up three points in their opening game of the 2024/25 season. However, the journey is long, and the test against Aston Villa at Villa Park this Saturday will be an early indication of their mettle.
Rice’s determination to “be better than last season” sets the tone for a season of high expectations. With a strengthened squad and an unwavering spirit, Arsenal will be looking to turn their near misses into victories in the coming months.
