Legend Patrick Vieira reveals the Arsenal player that he likes the most

Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has revealed that Declan Rice, the Gunners’ new midfield signing, is his favorite player in the Premier League right now. The former Arsenal captain highlighted Rice’s selfless approach and his importance to the team’s success.

“I like Declan because he’s a team player,” Vieira told reporters. “I think, when you play in that position, you have to be the one who sacrifices yourself for the team. You have to win the ball and you have to give it to the players who can make the difference.”

Vieira recognizes the often-unsung role of a holding midfielder, stating, “It’s a really difficult position because you work hard for the team but you may not get a lot of credit like the guys who score those goals.”

Despite the lack of individual accolades, Vieira acknowledges Rice’s crucial contribution to Arsenal’s success: “When you’re looking at the Arsenal from last year and I hope this year again, he will be an important key for the team because he will do all the dirty work to make the other ones look good and to allow them to make the difference in the last 30 yards.”

Vieira concludes, “Declan is one of my favorite players in the Premier League because he sacrifices himself, is working hard for the team and is a team player.”

Vieira’s praise speaks volumes about Rice’s impact on Arsenal. His willingness to put the team first and his dedication to the defensive side of the game are qualities that have earned him the respect of a true Arsenal legend. As Rice continues his journey with the Gunners, he will undoubtedly strive to live up to the high standards set by the iconic Vieira.
