Nottingham Forest submits a £25million bid for Arsenal player that Arteta wants out
Nottingham Forest are actively pursuing a deal to bring Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah to the City Ground, but their initial offer has been rebuffed by the Gunners. According to report from The Athletic, Forest submitted an opening bid of £25 million, including add-ons, but Arsenal are seeking a fee closer to £30-35 million for the 24-year-old forward.
Despite the rejection, discussions between the two clubs are ongoing as Steve Cooper’s side seek to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season. Nketiah has emerged as a top target for Forest, with the club keen on adding a proven goalscorer to their ranks.

While Nketiah made 27 appearances for Arsenal last season, often as a substitute, he contributed five goals and two assists in the Premier League. His ability to find the back of the net and provide attacking spark is seen as valuable by Forest, who finished 13th in the league last season.
However, Forest face competition for Nketiah’s signature. Crystal Palace have also shown interest in the striker, but there have been no official talks between the two clubs at this stage.
The coming days will be crucial for Nottingham Forest as they aim to secure a deal for Nketiah. Their willingness to increase their bid and their persistence in negotiations could prove decisive in landing the Arsenal forward, who is eager to secure regular first-team football.
