Following Arsenal’s frustrating 1-1 draw against Brighton at the Emirates Stadium, forward Kai Havertz has sent a message of resilience to the Gunners faithful, urging them to focus on the positives and move forward.

The German international, who scored Arsenal’s opening goal with a stunning lob over Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen, took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the disappointment of dropping points at home.

“Frustrated,” Havertz wrote. “We’ll take the positives and move onto the next one after the international break!”

The draw against Brighton marked the end of Arsenal’s unbeaten start to the season, leaving them in third place in the Premier League table. Despite a dominant performance, particularly in the first half, the Gunners were unable to convert their numerous chances into goals and ultimately paid the price for Declan Rice’s red card.

Havertz’s message acknowledges the frustration surrounding the dropped points, but also highlights the importance of maintaining a positive mindset. The international break will provide Arsenal with an opportunity to regroup and prepare for their crucial North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur on September 15th.

Despite the draw, the performance against Brighton displayed encouraging signs from the Gunners, particularly with the arrival of new signings like Havertz himself. Arsenal fans will be hoping that the team can build on the positives and bounce back strongly in the upcoming fixtures.
