Arsenal may be facing Liverpool on Sunday without three key players, as Sky Sports has reported that Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori, and Bukayo Saka were all absent from training today. The Gunners, currently sitting third in the Premier League table with 17 points, could face a significant lineup challenge for their upcoming clash against the league leaders.

Timber has been sidelined for the last few weeks and his absence in training suggests he’s not yet ready to make a return. Similarly, Calafiori picked up a medial collateral ligament (MCL) issue during Arsenal’s recent Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk. While reports indicate Calafiori’s injury isn’t severe, he’s expected to be out for a few weeks, putting his availability for Sunday in serious doubt.

Bukayo Saka’s absence will be the biggest concern for Arsenal fans. The 23-year-old has missed Arsenal’s last two games due to a hamstring injury sustained on international duty with England. Saka’s absence has been felt in Arsenal’s attack, where his pace, creativity, and goal-scoring ability have been crucial to their success this season. While Arsenal was able to grind out a 1-0 win over Shakhtar, Saka’s return would have provided a significant boost against a formidable Liverpool side.

With Arsenal just three points behind Liverpool, Sunday’s match is a pivotal moment in their campaign. The potential absence of three first-team players could require some adjustments from Mikel Arteta, who may look to alternative options in defense and on the wings. As Arsenal prepares for this challenging encounter, fans will hope for a quick recovery for their sidelined stars. The final lineup will be closely watched, as the Gunners aim to keep pace with the league leaders in this critical Premier League fixture.
