Arsenal is set to receive a timely injury boost after the international break, with both Riccardo Calafiori and Takehiro Tomiyasu expected to return to the squad. According to reports from the Daily Mail, the two defenders are recovering well and could be ready to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s options as Arsenal aims to maintain momentum in a competitive Premier League season.

Calafiori, who joined Arsenal recently, has shown glimpses of his talent, and his return will add depth to Arsenal’s defense, especially at left-back, where he can provide a different dimension with his pace and attacking instincts. Although he has missed some crucial games, his anticipated return brings hope for greater squad rotation and tactical flexibility.

Meanwhile, Tomiyasu’s comeback is equally significant for Arsenal. Known for his versatility, the Japanese international can play both as a right-back and a central defender. His reliability and adaptability make him an asset in various formations, and his presence will likely ease the burden on other defenders like Ben White and Gabriel Magalhaes, who have taken on heavy workloads this season.

Arsenal, currently fourth in the Premier League table with 19 points after 11 games, faces a demanding fixture schedule following the break. They will host Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium on November 23, looking to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool, who sit nine points ahead. With Calafiori and Tomiyasu back in the lineup, Arsenal will have a stronger defensive unit, which could be crucial for their title ambitions.

Arteta will hope that both players regain full fitness soon and contribute to Arsenal’s defensive solidity. With this boost, the Gunners can approach the remainder of the season with renewed confidence and depth, enhancing their prospects in both the Premier League and European competitions.
