EPL Legend  Names the One Signing That Could Win Arsenal the Premier League

With Mikel Arteta’s side once again competing at the top, former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes the Gunners are just one key signing away from finally lifting the trophy.

Ferdinand: Isak Could Be the Final Piece

Speaking on his podcast, Ferdinand pointed to Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak as the player who could transform Arsenal into Premier League champions.

“Arsenal fans have been calling out for a No.9 for two or three years,” Ferdinand said. “If you can sign Isak, you’ve got to do it. They could win the league with him because he’s phenomenal and gives them something different. They’ve put so many good pieces in, but they need that little extra now.”

The Swedish international has been a standout performer for Newcastle, impressing with his pace, technical ability, and finishing. With Arsenal lacking a consistent goal-scoring presence up front, Ferdinand argues that Isak’s arrival would be a game-changer.

Arsenal’s Striker Situation

Arsenal’s attacking options have been under scrutiny this season. While Gabriel Jesus brings versatility and pressing ability, his goal return has not been prolific. Leandro Trossard has deputized well in a false nine role, but he is not a long-term solution as the main striker.

The Gunners’ lack of a traditional, elite goal-scoring No.9 has been cited as one of the reasons they have fallen short in previous title races. Last season, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland was a major difference-maker, providing a consistent supply of goals that pushed them ahead of Arsenal.
