The gunners have for long been trying to convince Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to stay at the club for the rest of this season but it isn’t known what the duo have in their minds.
The gunners have a lot of players whose contracts expire at the end of this season including the star duo who are said to be interested in leaving the Emirates stadium in this upcoming January transfer window which is just one month away from now.
Arsene Wenger has revealed the latest update on the situation of the duo whose future’s have had many speculations and says they will be staying;
“Yes. Of course. (when asked if they will stay) I rule it out.(them leaving),I do not think every day about it.’ the manager was quoted by MIRROR SPORT.
‘As long as they are here,they have to give their all for the club.In my head they are here until the end of the season.’
‘That was the decision at the start of the season. Unless something incredible happens, I don’t think that will change.’
According to the manager, the two will still be called Arsenal players on the 1st of February next year but the supporters will still be worried because there are still strong speculations on the future of the two players who have never given a comment on whether they will be staying at the Emirates stadium for more years.
( PICTURE: GETTY)Mesut Ozil didn’t take part in the gunners match against Burnley on Sunday because it was reported that he was ill but most football analysts believe that the German international is faking because he is no longer interested in playing for the gunners again but nothing is confirmed yet because it is said that he might even miss tomorrow’s match against Huddersfield Town because he hasn’t fully recovered.
The gunners have started recovering their form recently and it would be a big blow to the squad because the manager might not be able to get suitable replacements before the one month of the transfer window closes and it is on record that Arsene Wenger is one of the managers that do not like making signings in the January transfer window and has always agitated for the removal of it.
