The gunners have for long been said to be trying to convince their stars Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez who have held the club as hostage by refusing to sign new deals.

The gunners have for long been reading constant reports suggesting that the duo will be leaving Arsenal in the January transfer window which is just a few days from opening because they have been linked with a number of top European clubs who are monitoring the situation of the two stars.

Arsene Wenger has today given some update about the contract renewal of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez because it is a question he is asked in most of his press conferences;

“Negotiations are always going on with everybody. Is it two years to go. One year to go,three months to go. The door is always open and for the rest I cannot tell you much more.’ the manager is quoted by MIRROR SPORT.

‘I said that many times we want to keep Ozil and Sanchez and that’s all we can say.”

The gunners will some how feel at ease about the above statement because the manager says that negotiations are always going on so it might mean that Arsenal might have already begun behind the scenes even though he didn’t say it directly. This comes after constant reports have been indicating that the gunners will surely lose their star duo this up coming January transfer window because they are not willing to wait for their contracts to expire.

Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez both have a few months remaining on their current contract and they have never opened up on if they will be extending or willing to sign new deals even though it is clear that the club still wants to keep the two players at the Emirates stadium. Most gooners are most worried about the duo leaving North London club in January because it will be very hard to try and look for an immediate replacement which isn’t easy in such a limited time.

The gunners will be playing against West Ham United tomorrow and the duo will certainly be given starts amid the continuous reports linking them away from Arsenal.
