Due to Wilshere’s injury woes, the mieldfielder has missed about 150 games in his career but in spite of his poor record the deal appears to be ideal for the two parties, West Ham United need a midfielder to stand in place after Manuel Lanzini will miss the up coming season due to injury.

“I think I must have been about six or seven, my whole family were West Ham fans, I was a West Ham fan, still have a soft spot for them of course.” He told Sportsman.
“I love, I used to love them back in the day when I was a kid. I had all the shirts, my brother did, I think I had John Moncur on the back of that, you know.”
