Arsenal new signing Lucas Torreira will officially begin pre-season training in a week’s time after its said that Unai Emery expects him back at the club by 30th of this month.

Lucas Torreira arrived at the Emirates Stadium this month after being linked with a move to Arsenal for about four weeks but the midfielder finally joined the North Londoners.
The Arsenal squad travelled to Singapore on Sunday but their new signing Lucas Torreira wasn’t among the players which went on the pre-season tour because of his participation in the FIFA World Cup which saw his country reach the quarter finals.
It is understood that Unai Emery decided to give every Arsenal player who participated in the World Cup a three weeks break and will be expecting them to report back at the club after that time. It is said that Lucas Torreira will begin his pre-season training on July 30th according to Uruguayan newspaper Ovacion.
Arsenal fans can’t wait to see Lucas Torreira wearing their jersey on the pitch but it seems they have to wait long as the player will likely be available for their encounter against Lazio in Stockholm on Saturday, 4th of August 2018. Lucas Torreira arrived at Arsenal from Sampdoria after his impressive performances as a defensive midfielder in the Italian Serie A league.
