The summer transfer window officially opened in May which was earlier than in the past but this was due to the World Cup tournament, it has been an interesting summer transfer window for Arsenal fans as they even got a new manager, Unai Emery.

The summer transfer window has been great for Arsenal fans so far as their new manager Unai Emery has been busy in bringing in new players at the club.

So when does the summer transfer window close?

Since the transfer window opened earlier than it usually does and the new rules also state that clubs get interrupted if transfers are happening when the first matches of the season are being played.

So the transfer window will close on 5pm BST on Thursday, 9 August 2018.

ARSENAL SUMMER SIGNINGS SO FAR

1. Stephan Lichtsteiner

The veteran right back comes at the Emirates Stadium on a free transfer from Juventus. He became Unai Emery’s first signing as Arsenal manager.

2. Bernd Leno

The goalkeeper arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Bayer Leverkusen and the Arsenal fans are happy about this transfer because most of them had wished for a goalkeeper for a long time.

3. Sokratis Papastathopoulos

Arsenal fans waited for the official announcement of the Greek defender because they knew deal was complete. The centre back was finally unveiled as a gunner this July.

4. Lucas Torreira

The Uruguay international also joined the gunners this July and the Arsenal fans will be waiting to see him next season while playing in the defensive midfield role.

5. Matteo Guendouzi

The French youngster becomes the latest player to join Arsenal and is expected to be Unai Emery’s last summer signing.
