Arsenal news: Mesut Ozil Is Still Traumatized
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil hasn’t returned to his best after all what happened to him after his participation in the FIFA World Cup.
Mesut Ozil is still traumatized from his World Cup woes which saw him quit the Germany national football team after the officials of the DFB claimed that his meeting with the Turkey president destroyed the morale of their team in the FIFA World Cup.
Germany got knocked out from the 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP after it failed to finish in either the first or second position in their group hence going home without even taking part in the knock out stages in Russia and the German Football Association used Mesut Ozil as a scapegoat in their defence for their poor display.
The statements made on Mesut Ozil about his meeting with Turkey president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and performance in the two matches he played in Russia forced the German international to just retire from international football yet he is still young enough to play in country football competitions.
It is however un fortunate that Mesut Ozil is still disturbed by the events that have happened to him in the last two months because he seems un focussed in Arsenal’s two matches against Manchester City and Chelsea, it looks like the German international still has alot of stress but Unai Emery will be hoping that he sorts himself out because he is needed by Arsenal.
The international break is just a week away so players will be going back to their countries to represent them in the competitions which they are participating in, it will however be boring two weeks for Mesut Ozil because he won’t be travelling to Germany unless he receives an apology from them which is impossible.
Ozil being traumatized while at Arsenal is going to be a frustrating time for Unai Emery and the manager might be tempted to start benching him so that he could play someone who is more serious.
