Arsenal manager Unai Emery has clearly shown his intention of making Matteo Guendouzi a regular starter this season but don’t you believe he is forgetting some other Arsenal star?

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has been happy with the work rate of Matteo Guendouzi in training and has put the young French international in the starting eleven against Manchester City and Chelsea.

It’s been quite surprising to many that Matteo Guendouzi played Arsenal’s last two matches because they were expecting to see him play in the competitions like the Carabao Cup or the Europa League but that’s not what Unai Emery has in mind.

Even though Matteo Guendouzi has been extraordinary in these two matches but him starting has made the manager to forget about Mohammed Elneny who would be doing a better job in that position than the French international because he is well experienced and is used to the Premier League.

Mohammed Elneny is a great midfielder but he is very underrated because Arsene Wenger didn’t trust him when he was still the manager of Arsenal so Unai Emery might not see him often when he watches the video highlights of his team last season before he was appointed as the manager.

Matteo Guendouzi was playing for Lorient in the French Ligue 2 and he played 18 matches but we all do know it’s a less competitive league but the youngster has impressed Arsenal’s new boss and will likely start against West Ham United but Mohammed Elneny will become a bench warmer this season yet he might be better than young Matteo.

Arsenal signed Mohammed Elneny from Basel in the 2016 January transfer window but he has failed to make it to the starting eleven because he was unable to get chances under Arsene Wenger but it seems he still won’t get any opportunities since Matteo Guendouzi has already won over the heart of Unai Emery.

Mohammed Elneny is now at the age of 26 and this is a perfect age where most footballers impress so it will be pretty sensible if Unai Emery gives him a chance since Matteo Guendouzi still has a bright future ahead because he is just 19-years-old.
