The gunners have on Wednesday night got their sixth win of the season after they defeated Brentford 3-1 in an entertaining match. Arsenal knew that the Championship side wasn’t going to be a tough side but it surprised them after it put on a fight in the second half.
The first 45 minutes were all about Arsenal as it looked for goals and got two of them thanks to Danny Welbeck, their first came in after a well calculated move saw Matteo Guendouzi send into the Brentford box a good cross which well positioned Welbeck got to and scored through a header to take the gunners into the lead.
Arsenal was now in full control of the match with high confidence after getting their first goal and youngster Emile Smith Rowe came close to scoring but his shot went wide, the gunners scored their second goal after Alex Iwobi charged towards the box of the visitors and sent a pass to rushing Nacho Monreal who was on the left flank, and the Spanish left back crossed the ball into the box and Danny Welbeck tapped in Arsenal’s second goal.
The gunners came back from the halftime break in great moods because they saw this as a finished match but to their surprise, Brentford were better in the second half and even pulled one goal after it scored through a well crafted free kick. Arsenal was however not done as well, they sealed their win against the Championship club in the last minutes after Lacazette got a chance to shoot and he did, and scored the third goal of the gunners.
