Arsenal will welcome Watford at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday and Unai Emery has had a pre match press conference today, the club has however also gave the latest on the injured players via it’s official website.

Arsenal does not have many players who are currently injured and here’s the latest information on those who are on the sidelines as they look to get back on the pitch soon.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos

The Greek centre back didn’t finish Arsenal’s match against Everton last week and was replaced by Rob Holding. He was also not even on the team sheet that played Brentford on Wednesday because he was still nursing his injury.

The club has however confirmed today that Sokratis is now available for selection since he has recovered and will probably be used against Watford because Unai Emery wouldn’t want to risk playing Rob Holding in the Premier League.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles

The young defensive midfielder has been injured for about a month and a half now and the club says that he is hoping to return in November. He has a small fracture on his left fibula.

Dinos Mavropanos

The central defender has a groin injury and will be back in training by the end of October.

Laurent Koscielny

The Arsenal Captain hasn’t played any match this season due to an Achilles problem and the fans are looking forward to his return because they are not happy with the Sokratis-Mustafi partnership.

The French international is expected to return in November.

Emile Smith Rowe

Arsenal has confirmed that the youngster’s right hip is being assessed ahead of their match against Watford against Watford.
