Newcastle United 1-2 Arsenal Video Highlights
Watch the video highlights of the match between Arsenal and Newcastle United which took place on Saturday at the St. James’ Park.
Arsenal was on Saturday welcomed at the St. James’ Park stadium by Newcastle United and the two clubs had an interesting game which almost saw the North Londoners drop the three points in the final minutes of the game.
Unai Emery came into this match well knowing that he needed to win this match so that it could lay as a foundation for his target of reaching the Premier League top four, the gunners did get a win even though it wasn’t a clean one as they again failed to keep a clean sheet.
The first half ended 0-0 despite both getting some chances especially Newcastle United because it got seven corners but failed to use any of them to score a goal. Arsenal got its first goal thanks to a rocket shot by Granit Xhaka and his goal gave the gunners much confidence as it now looked for its second goal of the day.
Arsenal finally got it’s second through Mesut Ozil who sent a low shot past the Newcastle United goalkeeper making it 2-0 in favour of the gunners. Newcastle United pulled one goal back just before the match ended and this gave Arsenal a scare but they held onto their lead hence the game ending 2-1.
