Arsenal players have travelled to Portugal to face Sporting Lisbon as they continue their Europa League campaign but the club didn’t release the list of the players that left London but they have however given an injury update via Arsenal.com.
Nacho Monreal missed Arsenal’s encounter with Leicester City on Monday because of a minor right hamstring but the North London club has confirmed that the Spanish left back will be assessed before their match against Sporting Lisbon.
Sead Kolasinac wasn’t available when this season begun because he was injured but he recently returned and made one appearance for the gunners in the Europa League but the club says that he is again out due to a minor hamstring injury as well. Arsenal says that he will also be assessed before their Thursday game, he will probably start against Sporting if he is cleared by the medical specialists.
The injury update doesn’t only have bad news because the North London club has confirmed that Sokratis Papastathopoulos has returned to full training following his ankle problem. His return could see Rob Holding get benched in their next match.
Arsenal has also revealed that both Petr Cech and Ainsley Maitland-Niles have returned to full training but that doesn’t confirm whether they will be available for selection on Thursday but they will surely be on the team sheet this weekend.
Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny is ready to get back into full training and he will probably be in their upcoming matches In November. Dinos Mavropanos is still out until November.
