Arsene Wenger initiated the signing of Mesut Ozil in 2013 and the French boss has received credit from the Arsenal fans for bringing the German international at the Emirates because the player has turned out to be an important signing.

Arsene Wenger called it quits this year when he resigned from his position as the manager of Arsenal and his announcement came after the Frenchman had convinced Mesut Ozil to stay at the North London club. Ozil himself said that he was surprised to see Wenger’s departure because he also never informed them (players) too.

Mesut Ozil was included in the 23-man squad of Germany that travelled to Russia for the FIFA World Cup but the German side failed to get past the group stages yet their fans expected them to put on a great performance since they were the defending champions. Mesut Ozil was criticized and blamed for the poor display of Germany and some DFB officials said that him taking a picture with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan distracted the team.

Mesut Ozil retired from international football as a result after taking in a lot of criticism from the Germany Football Federation, media, the supporters and the German legends. Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that Mesut Ozil should reconsider his decision to quit the Germany national team because playing international games helps a player to get motivated, he however also says that Ozil is also needed by Germany.

“I believe that Germany needs Ozil.I hope that Low can convince him that he will come back. Ozil is a super football player, was not the worst in the World Cup. I did not like that he left the team.” Arsene Wenger told Germany newspaper Bild.

“Because a little bit of motivation disappears when you know that you do not have to be ready for the World Cup and European Championship.”

“I love it when the player is as good as possible. If he does not play on an international level, a bit is lost.”

I just love writing and football so much ever since the 2000's when football got popular in our country. I am a self esteemed person who believes is am always right.
