Unai Emery Reveals Advantage Of Playing On Monday
Arsenal manager Unai Emery says that it is an advantage to play on Monday even though he prefers playing on the weekends.
Arsenal will face Leicester City on Monday night and it will be their ninth Premier League match in this 2018/19 campaign. Unai Emery will be hoping to see his team continue its fine form since many believe that it might have lost its momentum after the international break.
This is going to be the first time Arsenal plays a Premier League match on Monday this season and gunners boss Unai Emery was asked what he has to say on not playing on the weekend as the other Premier League clubs. The Arsenal boss said that it’s positive that they will play on Monday even though he prefers playing on the weekends as quoted by Arsenal.com.
“I prefer to play Saturday or Sunday. It [playing on Monday] has the advantage for more time to prepare the match – that’s one positive.” said Unai Emery.
Playing on Monday has given Arsenal enough time to prepare as we said in our previous article. The gunners will come into this match with its full squad because everyone will have returned.
Arsenal will come into this match with immerse confidence since it has won it’s last nine matches and the fans want the club to keep winning because they would like their team to participate in the UEFA Champions League next season.
The Arsenal squad trained on Sunday and most of the players have returned from their international duties, so the gunners will need them to perform well for them as they did for their respective countries. Unai Emery has said that he plans for each game differently depending on who will be his next opponent and Arsenal will need the full three points because the other top Premier League clubs have won their matches.
