Arsenal has been impressive this season because it has lost only twice in all competitions since this season begun but they have however been conceding a lot of goals especially in the Premier League games. Unai Emery will certainly be happy with his squad so far but the January transfer window will soon be opening and the Arsenal fans will be hoping to see some new faces at the club.
Even though the gunners have been poor at the back, most Arsenal fans are mostly focussing on their attack line because they have begun urging Unai Emery to sign a winger in the winter transfer window since their last three Premier League draws have shown that the North Londoners lack players that are good on the flanks.
Everyone has his own opinion on the type of player which Unai Emery should sign but Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has said that the gunners boss needs to get a new centre back because they are unstable at the back. The Arsenal legend was asked about type of players he believes that Unai Emery will sign and he replied via Express Sport.
“I’m sure they’ll be positions he wants to. For me centre-half he could probably strengthen.” said Ray Parlour.
“But he’s got Koscielny coming back, they’ve missed him, but he’s a little bit older but I’m sure he’s working hard to get back in the side so I think he’ll assess the situation when it comes to January.”
Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny is expected to be available for selection after the international break because he has returned to full training after having been on the sidelines for six months. He has spent a lot of time without playing and this could mean that Unai Emery won’t use him right away.
