Bernd Leno Speaks Out On Liverpool’s Goal
Bernd Leno had a great performance against Liverpool on Saturday because he made several saves that kept the gunners in the match.

Bernd Leno was selected in the starting eleven that played against Liverpool yesterday and the German international had a nice game against the Reds despite being partly responsible for the goal by James Milner in the second half. The match ended 1-1 but the Arsenal fans were happy with the performance of the German shot stopper.
Petr Cech has been Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper in the first two months into the new season but he got injured and Unai Emery tried using Bernd Leno and the German international was impressive in the matches he played in the absence of the Czech Republican international. So it seems Unai Emery now prefers using Bernd Leno over Petr Cech.
Bernd Leno made great saves in the first half as Liverpool attacked them but the Reds were finally able to get into the lead after Leno punched the ball near James Milner’s feet who sent in a powerful shot that went into the back of the net. Some Arsenal fans blamed Bernd Leno for that goal and the goalkeeper has finally spoken about that issue, he says that he was unlucky but he claims that he was happy with the team’s reaction after they conceded that goal.
“It was a cross, it was a little bit unlucky for me because it was in the middle and Milner scored.” Bernd Leno told Arsenal Player.
“But the reaction of the team was perfect. After two or three minutes, we had the next chance to score. That shows the character of this team.”
Arsenal’s next match will be against Sporting Lisbon at the Emirates Stadium and Petr Cech will probably be in-goal this time since he has become the second choice goalkeeper.
