Arsenal fans were fed up of Arsene Wenger in 2013 after they saw other teams winning trophies while they were only left to talk about their triumph in 2004 as the most recent time they had won a competition. Arsenal fans had already called for the resignation of Wenger because he wasn’t performing well and criticized him for signing cheap players.

But who would have thought that the Frenchman would sign Mesut Ozil yet the German international was one of the most valued players of Real Madrid at that time. Mesut Ozil was unveiled as a gunner when the Arsenal fans had lost trust in Arsene Wenger for always disappointing them in the transfer windows.

Mesut Ozil has turned out to be a great signing because he has helped the gunners win three FA Cup trophies yet he arrived at the Emirates Stadium when the North Londoners had never won anything since they moved to a new stadium. Even though Mesut Ozil has become a fan favourite at Arsenal but he has however found some difficulties in his stay at the London club because his body language on the pitch has made football pundits criticise him so much.

The Arsenal fans were happy that Mesut Ozil joined their club but the German international had never talked about how he felt in his first days as a gunner but he has finally spoken about that.

“When I first arrived here I was very excited and a little bit nervous as well. It was always a new chapter and at the end of the day I was very happy to play for such a big club like Arsenal and meet all my team-mates.” Mesut Ozil told Arsenal’s official website.

“When I first arrived at the training ground, outside there were so many people. They were waiting for me. It was very special and it was a very good moment for me. The feeling was amazing, even the first game at the Emirates was so special for me. All the fans supported me until now and I’m really grateful and appreciative of that.”

I just love writing and football so much ever since the 2000's when football got popular in our country. I am a self esteemed person who believes is am always right.
