Unai Emery On If Bellerin & Monreal Will Play Against Liverpool
Both Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal missed Arsenal’s match against Blackpool on Wednesday.

Arsenal faces Liverpool today but they currently have an injury crisis which has made their fans afraid ahead of this game because The Reds have good attacking players that could terrorize the defence of the gunners if Unai Emery uses a weak back four. Arsenal’s main full backs; Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal are still on the sidelines according to the latest injury report.
Unai Emery faced the press yesterday to discuss on a number of matters about their match against Liverpool, he was also asked on the issues of full backs because everyone knows how both Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal are doubtful of starting the match against Liverpool.
“We are playing a lot of matches: Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday. We need every player and injuries are normal in a season.” Unai Emery told Arsenal’s official website.
“Today, we are going to do the last training with the players. There are doubts but we are going to wait to see if we can use one or another player in the full-back positions.”
The above statement by Unai Emery doesn’t give Arsenal fans much hope of seeing Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal today because if they were fully fit, he would have just revealed that they have come back to full training. The Arsenal squad trained yesterday but the pictures taken never showed Bellerin or Monreal meaning that they never showed up for the training session because they are still nursing their injuries.
Unai Emery is expected to use Stephan Lichtsteiner and Maitland-Niles in the full back positions today because he doesn’t have many options since his first choice are not the fit to play against Liverpool today.
