Arsenal boss Unai Emery has spent six months at the Emirates Stadium and his presence at the North London club has been deemed as fresh air at a club that was coached by the same person for over 20 years. No one can deny the fact that Unai Emery has improved the Arsenal team and even though he has faced many challenges, he has still managed to maintain their unbeaten run, they made it 21 matches on Saturday by beating Huddersfield Town.

Unai Emery has inherited a complete squad which is full of many players and the new Arsenal boss did some cleansing in the summer to send away the players which he didn’t need like Jack Wilshere, David Ospina (loan) and Joel Campbell. Unai Emery and his Chief Scout Sven Mislintat then brought in five new players at Arsenal ahead of the start of this season

The Arsenal fans are happy because their team is currently unbeaten in 21 matches but here is one star which Unai Emery has totally undermined this season, “MOHAMED ELNENY” The Egyptian international joined the gunners in January, 2016 after Arsene Wenger tried to get a defensive midfielder who would help out his defence but he however never trusted him and gave him a few chances each season even though he was a top star at Basel before joining the gunners.

Mohamed Elneny

Mohamed Elneny is a multi purpose midfielder who can either play as a central midfielder or even as a defensive midfielder, but he is more better defensively as witnessed in Arsenal’s match against Vorskla a few weeks ago. He controlled the midfield and one might say that it was because the gunners were up against a small team but they are wrong because Elneny could also impress in the Premier League in the playing style which Unai Emery has introduced because he is very good with his feet and rarely makes any blunders in the midfield.

Mohamed Elneny hasn’t made any appearance in the Premier League this season but it’s pretty understable because Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka have performed well together this season but what is surprising is that Unai Emery rates Matteo Guendouzi above the experienced Egyptian international. Guendouzi is an exceptional player but he is still inexperienced and can sometimes make some mistakes that could cost the team as seen in Arsenal’s match against Blackpool, he got sent off for making a reckless foul.

So we will now have to wait and see if Unai Emery will either give some more chances to Mohamed Elneny or let him go as reports have said.
