Report: Why Unai Emery prefers Guendouzi over Ramsey
Matteo Guendouzi arrived at the Emirates Stadium in July but he has surprisingly been starting ahead of Aaron Ramsey this season.

Matteo Guendouzi arrived at Arsenal in the summer transfer window and he has been an outstanding signing despite being just 19 years old. Some Arsenal fans claim that he reminds them of Jack Wilshere’s early days before injuries ruined his footballing career.
Matteo Guendouzi has been a regular in Unai Emery’s starting eleven while Aaron Ramsey has sat on the bench, watching a youngster who has no experience start ahead of him but there are reasons why the Arsenal boss makes this decision.
1. AARON RAMSEY IS LEAVING AND HAS NO PASSION FOR ARSENAL ANYMORE
Well many will probably argue that Aaron Ramsey has given his all in the few chances which he has received in the last few months but well we all know he’s leaving and why? it’s been a big topic, and the club has never denied it so it’s true.
So Unai Emery will definitely want to give a chance to a player who will give 100% for the club instead of using a player who is in thoughts after the club decided to axe him after having been with them for a decade.

2. ARSENAL NEEDS TO SHOW IT CAN IMPRESS WITHOUT RAMSEY
Matteo Guendouzi is not a better player than Aaron Ramsey but due to the current circumstances, the gunners need to see if they can have a good game flow without the Wales international and the test was successful because Unai Emery’s team was on an unbeaten run of 22 matches and Ramsey didn’t start half of those matches.
3. RAMSEY AND GUENDOUZI PLAY DIFFERENT POSITIONS
Aaron Ramsey was played in most of the positions in the midfield by Arsene Wenger last season so it isn’t usually clear on who Unai Emery has chosen over the Welshman. In the past, Ramsey used to say that he prefers to play as a ( CAM) but Mesut Ozil had retained that position.
