Sampdoria sends a message to Arsenal fans about Lucas Torreira
Lucas Torreira arrived at Arsenal in the summer transfer window and he has in the last few months become a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium because they never knew how the Uruguayan international was very talented. Arsenal paid Sampdoria £22million to sign Lucas Torreira and the fans have termed this deal as a “day light robbery” because he is a world-class midfielder.
Lucas Torreira scored Arsenal’s only goal on Saturday to gift the gunners the three points against Huddersfield Town, the gunners were obviously going to have to share the points because the visitors had a great defensive structure but Torreira’s fantastic acrobatic finish brought back happiness in the Emirates Stadium which had become quiet. The Arsenal fans them bombarded the official Twitter account of Sampdoria thanking them for giving them Lucas Torreira who is a gifted footballer.
Sampdoria was however not happy that the Arsenal fans replied their tweets with praise and thank you messages for Lucas Torreira, so they then released a statement saying that they will set up a dedicated email for them to send their thank you messages to them.
Note to all @Arsenal fans: please don't clog up our match tweets today thanking us for @LTorreira34. We're going to set up a dedicated 'Thanks for #Torreira' email address where you can send us all your thank you messages. Watch this space…

The Arsenal fans are however still waiting because Sampdoria hasn’t released the email address as promised and some have kept on commenting on their tweets with words like “thanks for giving us Lucas Torreira”.
