Unai Emery hints at starting bench warmer against Liverpool
The gunners will on Saturday be welcomed at the Anfield Stadium by on form Liverpool. It is going to be an important match for the gunners because they have failed to keep up the pressure on the Premier League top four and Unai Emery is starting to lose support of the Arsenal fans because they want to get back to the UEFA Champions League next season.
Liverpool is currently unbeaten and their last match ended 4-0 in favour of them, so Unai Emery will probably have a headache in choosing the lineup that plays against them because the team he used on Wednesday failed to beat Brighton & Hove Albion even though he did try to make some changes in the second half.
Unai Emery made three substitutes in the Brighton match and the three players that were introduced into the game were; Alex Iwobi, Aaron Ramsey and Maitland-Niles. The Spanish coach has said that Aaron Ramsey impressed in the few minutes which he played and hint at including him in the starting eleven that faces The Reds on Saturday.
“(Ramsey)He played yesterday with a good spirit, like I want and he helped us, not to win but he was working well. I am happy.” Unai Emery told Arsenal’s official website.
“I need this focus also from him, to us, to help us to go to Liverpool on Saturday and then to Fulham. ”
This isn’t the first time Unai Emery has praised Aaron Ramsey for his performance against Brighton & Hove Albion. So all this proves that Aaron Ramsey will probably start against Liverpool but who will make way for the Wales international, it will either be Lacazette or Ozil.
